Elizabeth's technical background in robotics, deep learning and AI places her legal practice at the leading edge of technical innovation. As a graduate student in the Intelligent Systems Image Processing Laboratory at the University of Memphis, Elizabeth investigated methods for object recognition and face detection using convolutional neural networks. She also worked with leading researches in the adaptation of biologically inspired machine learning techniques to the facial recognition task during her time as a visiting researcher in the Telecommunication and Information Technology Research Institute at the University of Wollongong in Australia. In addition to her research interests, Elizabeth developed and taught graduate level courses in embedded systems and has a passion for robotics.
As an undergraduate student, Elizabeth was a student trainee in the Navy Primary Standards Laboratory at North Island Naval Air Station. At Tulane University, she was an active member in the student video game developers club.
