Jamie Do

Patent Agent

Jamie has a multidisciplinary background in chemical biology, with expertise spanning small molecule synthesis, drug discovery, next-generation sequencing, and molecular biology. During her graduate studies, she conducted research on resistance mechanisms to breast cancer therapies using single cell transcriptomics, discovery of small molecule inhibitors targeting protein–protein interactions, synthesis of small molecule inhibitors targeting amyloid fibrils, and the development of a fluorescence-based assay for preeclampsia.

After earning her doctorate, Jamie worked in business development at a contract research organization, partnering with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and startup companies to support and advance their preclinical research efforts. Before joining KPPB, she was an intellectual property specialist at a sequencing company, where she drafted and prosecuted patent applications involving sequencing technologies, recombinant proteins, and nucleic acid-based innovations.

Jamie now focuses her practice on patent prosecution in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors.
