Zhiwei Cai

Zhiwei brings a multidisciplinary background in computer science, economics, and law to his intellectual property practice. Prior to joining KPPB, Zhiwei summered at another leading technology-focused law firm, where he supported matters for clients ranging from startups to large technology enterprises. During law school, Zhiwei was a member of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and worked with the Berkeley Immigration Group. At Oregon State University, Zhiwei focused on machine learning and backend software development, and his full stack engineering project won first place overall at the OSU Spring Hackathon. Zhiwei brings both technical fluency and legal insight to his work with technology companies, research institutions, and early-stage ventures.
